Hello everyone!! Just wanted to let you know that I'm playing at Karma local arts house on Saturday, April 16 at around 9ish pm. I'm really excited cuz I haven't done a solo acoustic show in forever!!!! My good friend Dave will be opening up the night, ( he's AMAZING!!!!) and we'll hopefully be playing a few songs together. It's only 3 bucks, and I have lots o' new songs. Hope to see y'all there!!!

デ ビュー2年目にしてオリコン初登場1位を記録するなど、非常に人気の高いバンドでした。そのアルバム「REBECCA IV ～Maybe tomorrow～」は130万枚のセールスを記録。今のご時勢では130万枚なんてたいしたことないと思うかもしれませんが（globeやGLAYの 400万枚と比べると3分の1以下ですからね）、当時の状況からするとそれはそれはすごいことなのです。ワタシは勝手に当時の130万枚は今の350万枚 に相当する、と思っております。確か日本のロックグループで始めてアルバムがミリオンセラーとなったのがREBECCAだったはずです。もっともその後 BOφWYというバンドがアルバムを150万枚セールスして記録を塗り替えましたが。それでも、REBECCAがバンドブームを作るきっかけになったこと は間違いありません。当時のロック界はREBECCAとBOφWYの二つのバンドが人気を二分していました。ワタシはBOφWYの出身地・群馬県に住んで いましたので、周りではBOφWY人気が凄かったのですが、それでもワタシはREBECCAに惹かれていたのです。REBECCAの人気が故に、当時の少 女たちはNOKKOのファッションを真似するようになりました。ちょっと前で言う「アムラー」みたいなものです。なんとREBECCAは「～ラー」の走り でもあったようです。なんて言うんだろう、「ノッカー」かな？
